How to capture and import your coaching transcripts
Step-by-Step Guide
Part 1: One-Time Setup (do this once, never again)
Go to zoom.us and log in
Click your initials in the top corner → click Settings
In the search bar, type "Transcripts" and press Enter
Make sure Full Transcript and Save Caption are both toggled on (blue)
If either is gray, click it once to turn it blue
Close the browser — you're done with setup
⚠️ Important: You must use the Zoom desktop app for transcripts to work. Browser-based Zoom (Chrome/Safari) does not support transcripts.
Part 2: During Your Session
Open the Zoom app and join your session
Do not click Transcript yet — wait until it is your turn to coach
When it's your turn, click Transcript (bottom toolbar, or under the ••• More menu)
Let it run through your full session including the feedback round — don't stop it early
Part 3: After Your Session
Click Save Transcript in Zoom
When you see "Transcript saved ✓", click Show in Folder
Log into Orin at orinlearning.com
Go to Document Hub for your coachee
Drag and drop the transcript file in
Attach it to the correct session
Head to Session Tracker — your transcript is ready for analysis
Need to edit your transcript? You can remove anything your coachee asked to keep private directly inside Orin's Session Tracker before running analysis.
